"Winter Wonderland Hike"
Saturday, February 23rd
Location: Start at Launch #3 at Maurice K. Goddard State Park (will hike just under 2 miles round trip including the Falling Run Trail)
Time: 9:30 AM to 11 AM
*No program fee 
Call 724-662-2242 to pre-register by Feb 20th.
*Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and bring binoculars.  You never know what creatures we will see and discuss while enjoying the forest in winter.

"Discovering Gentle Giants: Winter Tree ID"
Saturday, March 9th
Location: Munnell Run Farm
Time: 9 AM to 11 AM
Fee: none

Come join the Mercer County Conservation District at Munnell Run Farm and learn the easy, simple methods to identifying 15 of the most common Pennsylvania trees. The program will teach you about various strategies to determine common conifers and deciduous trees utilizing simple observation techniques.

 
Please be sure to dress appropriately for we will be spending a majority of our time outdoors.

"The Art of Maple Syrup Open House"
Saturday, March 23rd
Location: Munnell Run Farm
Time: 9 AM to 11 AM (you can show up any time between this time frame to check out the different areas)
Fee: Free, $2 suggested donation to offset costs

*There will be 3 different areas showcasing different steps in the maple syrup process: our sugar house where the syrup is boiled down, maple tree id and tapping, and a taste test with pancakes and our own syrup.

"Pioneers in Conservation" Annual Awards Dinner
Thursday, March 28th
Location: Mercer County Career Cener
776 Greenville Road
Mercer, PA 16137
Doors Open at 5 PM with dinner at 6 PM
Tickets: $20/ person, must be purchased by March 18th

Guest speaker, PA Game Commission Wildlife Biologist, Roger Coup, will showcase the bald eagle recovery in PA.  Enjoy photography exhibits showcasing local wildlife photographers Jim Law and Rich Reed.  The evening will conclude with "Pioneers in Conservation" awards, recognizing individuals or organizations who have invested in the idea of conservation and made it their mission to inspire others through their actions.
 
The Mercer County Conservation District will be partnering with the Munnell Run Farm Foundation, Inc. for this event.  MRF will have various fundraiser raffles.
